Online Business Course for Therapists | Designing the Dream | This online course has been created by someone who has been where you are now |
This online business course for therapists has been designed to be easily accessible for you. In the last two years or so we’ve had to get used to working online. Before then most therapists would work face to face. Generally training would be in-person courses, usually involving travel and an overnight stay or two! And it was fun, most of the time.
I don’t know about you but in the last two and a bit years I’ve attended many online conferences and courses, live and self-directed. And I've learned a lot. Not just from the content of those courses but about how they were designed and structured.
I’m not sure if I’ve got all those things I learned in my new course, Designing the Dream. I hope I’ve balanced it so that it keeps people interested and the assignments are manageable and the outcome useful! I tried to keep it as natural as possible!
I mentioned in my last blog that I been working on it for two years. That’s partly because not only was I trying to figure out what to include but also how to structure the course. When I had the idea I thought it would be very straight forward!
I’ve written and recorded a number of self-help mp3’s but somehow this felt different.
I was also doing all the recording, editing and production of the videos. I used Camtasia and now find it easy to record something. And editing is, now, a doddle! You may have gathered that, like many therapists, I like learning new things. I’ve had to rein that in this year to get the course finished!
So what does the online "Designing the Dream" course include and what will you achieve at the end of it?
Below are the milestones, the key points on your journey. At the end of each module the following points will, hopefully! have been achieved. Participants will:
Module 1 Have a clear understanding of their current business status including their business and life financial situation.
Module 2 Have clarified their business aims and aspirations and what resources they have to help them.
Module 3 Know who they want to work with and how, and have decided their fee level.
Module 4 Know what they are going to continue, stop or start doing, to promote their business.
Module 5 Have a rolling monthly and weekly action plan to help them take the actions to get them there.
Each module is split into sections which consist of videos, workbooks and assignments for participants to complete. Some will take long to work through than others.
By the end of the course you will:
